Low ceilings, bulky load-bearing beams, small rooms connected by narrow dark corridors, tiny bathrooms and, of course, a kitchen where cooking is turning into a real test. This apartment in Kiev looked like when the designer Elena Fateeva started to work.
Before the creative workshop Fateeva Design was tasked to design a free space for the life of a young couple of artists. The budget was minimal and it was spent on reconstruction, quality equipment and plumbing. The main efforts were to find the optimal planning solution. The puzzle turned out to be not simple, but it was possible to solve it by arranging the wrong shape of the bathroom. The joining of the balcony allowed to move to the spacious living room kitchen and to supplement it with a dining area. The place of the former kitchen was occupied by the dressing room. And only one of the rooms remained untouched, in it the designer arranged a bedroom. Every morning the sun rays fill the living room with a bright light, the room gratefully absorbs them and gives energy to their residents.
