MMcN TwoBit Type System
Based on the same framework as MuirMcNeil’s TwoPoint and TwoPlus collections, the TwoBit type system has seven weights, comprising a complete typeface, TwoBit A, and four related sub-component typefaces, TwoBit C–E, which interlock precisely in layers, offering many possiblities for hybrid combinations of contour, pattern and weight. TwoBit is designed to work in conjunction with MMcN TwoPoint and TwoPlus. The resulting 111 fonts of the ‘Two’ type collections, when overlaid in two layers, give a possible 12,321 basic combinations.
TwoBit A, B, C, D, E
Five typefaces each in seven weights = 35 fonts. This movie shows sample setting in the complete typeface (A), and then in the four partial typefaces overlaid on the lightest weight of TwoBit A.
