In Plain View is a multimedia exploration that creates a space of
reflection and community for those who feel alone and misunderstood. This
interactive journal, viewfinder, and website create the opportunity for people
who feel unseen, to process their feelings and be heard by others.

The idea for this project was derived from 3 separate newspaper articles. Within each of the 3 articles, I saw a common thread of loneliness and desire to be understood. After working through several ideation processes, I came to the idea of using print and digital spaces together to create a space for people to reflect in a journal. As well as providing an online community where people can share and see they are not alone.
