A concept inspired by the emerging trend of reducing the distractions of modern mobile devices. As a study on the interaction between aesthetic minimalism and modern communication, YEEZY phone unifies the design ethos of a brand characterized by its minimalist and utilitarian apparel with the idea of reducing a modern cell phone to its most essential components.
The screen of the phone is a panel containing a touch sensitive led array that references the recent stage designs of lighting designer John McGuire. As such, the interface of the phone becomes a monochromatic reduction of a traditional mobile UI.
Presented in two color configurations, YEEZY phone and the base are comprised of a stone composite material.
YEEZY phone has the capability to make phone calls or send messages.

YEEZY phone has no external ports or buttons. Inductive charging allows the battery to be replenished wirelessly.
For configuration and setup, YEEZY phone connects via Bluetooth to the user’s primary phone. Contact synchronization and management is performed through a complimentary smartphone application. This allows the UI of YEEZY phone to be unburdened with presence of options and settings.
In practice, YEEZY phone would serve as an accessory to a smartphone user who wishes to have the option of a reduced communication experience.
