Rogue Magazine

Rogue Magazine
Rogue magazine is a fashion and lifestyle magazine that is inspired by Vogue magazine. The concept of Rogue magazine is driven by Balenciaga plaid tote featured in Autumn/Winter 2016 Fashion Week which had created a storm online as netizens critiqued that is looks so much like the ‘Thailand’ bag. In the same year, Yves Saint Laurent launched the leather combat boots. It had uncanny resemblance to boots that National Service man in Singapore's Armed Forces wear as part of their uniform.

If designers draws inspiration from ‘peasants’ or our everyday objects, this questions the need for fashion magazine to tell us what is fashionable. I had recreated and altered the definition of 'Fashion' through this magazine by taking on a satirical approach. The apparels and accessories the models wore were not from any luxury fashion label but purchased off from the famous tourist spot in Singapore, Bugis Street, known for the cheap fashion apparels, accessories and sometimes, knock off.
