The goal of this project was to select different objects and reduce them down to minimal shapes while still capturing the objects shape and general nature. Starting with the mason jar, I developed a distinctive style of the glass jar, while still preserving it's shape and depth. First I used pencil markings and micron pens, then moved on to plaka paint. The paintings were then scanned to the computer where they were traced using the pen tool in adobe Illustrator. The process was repeated for 3 other glass objects, a Heinz Ketchup bottle, a growler, and a Jack Daniels bottle. Simmilar line weights and shapes were used throughout the bottles to unite the pieces while embodying the same theme.
