I founded NorthCoaster as my own business. I came up with the name during my stay in Venezuela as an exchange student in 2000, because of my homesickness. I felt a strong connection to Germany's north sea coast and inspired by the localism that is present in hip hop culture, I picked the name NorthCoaster for myself.
I wanted the design to reflect my own personality, being lively - thus the bright orange - and yet an analytical thinker. I have to admit, the choice of orange was quite easy, because it is my favorite color, too. And since it is a personal project, why not express my own taste.
