MapleStory - Mermaid's Summer Twintails
Design Your Story 2017 (MapleSEA)
This hair design for female avatars, as well as the full costume was created in response to the "Summer" theme that was provided by MapleSEA for the "Design Your Story" event in November 2017. I decided to go with the theme of mermaids, based on a pastel "summery" palette comprised of blues and pinks.
Every hairstyle in MapleStory features 8 basic dyeable colours: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Brown and Black. Therefore, each version of this design has its own unique colour gradient. Pearls and braids were also interlaced with the wavy locks to emphasise the "mermaid" theme.
The hairstyle was finally released by MapleSEA mid May 2018 and was made available an official hairstyle for female avatars to use within the game.
