Lithograph 2: The Forest Sylph
The beginnings: Imagining the Tusche
Freehand with the tusche, without a thought in my head, first animal after the cat that came was a crow. Oh, how I miss the beautiful, mischievous, silly crows from my past.
There is also another spirit face behind the spirit, in the initial stages... she does not exist in the later stages. I would like to believe, I managed to fight off one of my demons in this stone alone.
Stone Lithography is a very spiritual and a cleansing experience.

Second Day: The more you know
The more time I spend with a stone, freehand the darker it becomes. And the lighter my burden of imagined demons exhausted.

Third Day: Someone else is here
By now, the image has left for somewhere else completely. This is another land, another realm now. The sylph is a spirit of air, here she is grounded by the heaviness of earth. Her birds sing for her.
Pat, Powder and Moisturise: Preserving the Stone
The Devil is in the Details: Salvation for your stone
Waiting for the prints: Stone was severely mis-etched so still working on getting a good print out of this one.
