Publishing a project's story
When the New International Airport was proposed, a book was drafted with the eight world-renowned architectural firms that participated in the initial pitch for Mexico City's new airport. That book is currently available from Arquine Editorial in Mexico City, and for the longest time remained the primary publication used to provide stakeholders, potential clients, interested individuals, and companies, with some background information about the project.

This covered the early Pre-Master Plan phase of the project, which didn't do justice to all of the work being done between 2014 and 2017 to both update the Master Plan and adapt it to the real world situation as the airport's construction continued to unfold. This led to the eventual update of one of the project's books as you can see in the images below. Comparing and contrasting, we went from a book that was decidedly more visually technical to one with more aesthetic appeal.

The overall layout of images was enhanced, texts were cleaned and reorganized, and a friendlier colour scheme was selected for the pages that also finally influenced the size and type of fonts used throughout. This allowed the proposals to stand out more than before and lent itself to easier reading across the various proposals. I had the honour of working on these materials as the early editor involved in updating the book, and finally as one of the supervisors overseeing the final editions prior to going to print from 2016 to 2017, just one of a handful of other editorial projects I worked on or supervised throughout my time on the airport project.
