New England Aquarium Rebrand

New England Aquarium Rebrand

The New England Aquarium opened their doors in 1969 and established themselves as the first modern aquarium. However, their logo has remained the same since the late 60's. In 2015, I was a Visitor Education Intern, so I incorporated my own insights of the aquarium to create a brand that more accurately reflects the aquarium's role as an interactive institution where fun meets science and conservation. The theme of the rebrand is to highlight the diversity of the animals housed within the institution through photos

Part of the fun of the New England Aquarium is discovering what’s hidden around every corner. The winding layout of the building makes it easy to miss some exhibits. Part of the new brand is creating a scavenger hunt for audiences to find some of the aquarium’s most beloved creatures.
Vibrant Vertebrates Exhibit
I developed the branding for my own temporary show called Vibrant Vertebrates to fit the aquarium's theme of annual summer exhibitions. The branding for the show became incorporated into advertising for web and print material.
