Medborgarhuset renovation / Stockholm

A complex project renovation in the center of Stockholm. Contains a public bath, an auditorium, a local library, a gymnasium, a basket court, a children's theatre, and several meeting-rooms. The building was thoroughly restored in 1981, and the bath updated in 1988-1989 with the addition of a winter garden. Today is renovated again by Nyréns arkitektkontor with minimum changes from the outside but improving its funtionality and overall modernization.
The goal of the images was to show to the public that besides the renovation, the building will remains mostly the same, no crazy hovering volumes or stranges geometries are added to this historical building in the heart of Södermalm, Stockholm.
