Concept Branding for Barbershop/Salon - Logo design, Business Card Design and Apparel Design Concepts
Delight is a 66-year old barbershop and salon located in the heart of Indian national capital of Delhi. Time was ripe for a re-branding of all aspects of Delight and that is exactly what we did.
After exploring a lot of different concepts, we zeroed in on a logo design concept that is symbolic yet not too complicated. Since Delight is a unisex salon, our focus was to come up with a logo that highlights this aspect.
Hence, the “D” morphs into the long tresses of a woman whereas the “H” has a mustache in the middle of it.
The core demographic that throngs Delight comprises not only of young urbanites but also of people who have been coming here to look sharp since decades. This was the driving force behind the decision of keeping the business cards very simple with the insignia on the front and the address at the back side.
We designed the Rate List to be simple and highly readable. It features bold headings and clear text.
Our branding exercises are not just limited to business cards and logos. When we craft brand identities, we go all the way. The same can be seen in our work for Delight.
The T-shirts worn by the staff have the “Delight” insignia on the front as well as the back. Whereas the aprons are adorned with recursive patterns of salon iconography.
