In India, a child's grade on the report card determines whether he/she should be adored, chastised, appreciated or derided. May-June is the period when the crucial board results are out every year, locking the children's fate - sometimes that fate can be cruel or even fatal as children plunge to their deaths when their grades or marks are unable to reflect the expectations of their parents. In other words, a child's worth is measured by marks or grades. But what if the parents were graded on the basis of their reactions to their children's grades? And this is the very question that Supra Pens tried to explore through the following film. Because the exam results don't just determine a child's worth - as widely regarded by the Indian society - but they can also be instrumental in discerning an individual's parenting skills.
