Why not creating something with existing words ?
According to the brief, the theme was to design a project on a word, or a sentence to discover its origin by using my typographic skills. The following project traces the word cash, based on examples of existing sentences or speeches from the Oxford dictionary, under cash definitions. These references are written or said in a specified year and integrated into the book layout, in a descending order. Oxford does not even know the exact origin of the word that connects 400 years of cash applied word, and creates a funny suspens experience for readers, because it's not just a word: it is a gold material that has been leading the society through corruption, politics, trades, business, wars, etc.
Meanwhile, the idea was to mix & match pages, where references are associated with fontes connected to the according year. Finally, the project is an experimental typographic book that helps the reader to mix fonts and create new forms of words, or regroup sentences together simply by repairing the same typography. The book is easy to use and manipulate, divided into three sections with different mediums.
