Recycled seatbelts
The product was created in 2017 along with my colleague Katarina Merslavič in the Sustainable development in design course under the mentorship of Prof. MA. Barbara Prinčič. The material that most individuals encounter every day was used in this case to produce a new product. Its primary function, to protect human life wasn’t completely exempted. Its new function is still to protect, except this time to protect a persons belongings during transport. The cleaning and maintaining the bag was made easier with the removable inner bag made from a fabric box.
The measurements are 66.5x33x34.5 cm.
The bag has won the second award at the Slovene Reci dizajn contest 2017 and has also won the award in 2018 from The Academy of fine arts and design Ljubljana.
