Purani Jeans - Fashion Show 2018

With sustainability as the topic for SOFT Fashion show  2018, my teammates and I had taken denim as our theme .

Denim is the most used garment and the production of a single pair of jeans takes around a kilo of cotton, 10,000 litres of water and countless hours of labour.

Denim is best known for its durability and its ability to withstand wear and tear, therefore providing the perfect opportunity to up cycle your pair of jeans into chic fashion after it exceeds its wearable life .

The up cycled western blouses are perfectly combined with skirts made of old denim jeans that are patched together giving it an indo-western blend. The motifs are inspired from the Sidi Sayyed Mosque giving the garment a hint of the Indian tradition . These motifs are screen printed on the garment with gold dust which is subtle and to complement these, there are gold foil printed motifs which defines the Indian culture and its richness
