Capsule: MUJI + Li Wei

Capsule is a fictional exhibition about the importance of sleep by MUJI in collaboration with Chinese contemporary artist and photographer, Li Wei. It is inspired from the surreal and dream-like characteristics of his work, and so aims to promote the idea that sleeping and taking naps is important for a balanced and healthy life; hence pause to live.

The idea is that everyone can take simple steps to escape from the stresses in their everyday lives.  The tagline “pause to live” invites people to take a break from their daily busy schedule. The logo is not just one shape and form, but an ever changing and infinitely permutable form. The only constant is a silhouette of a person floating in space, as if frozen in time yet emancipated from mundane existence.

In conjunction with promoting sleep and MUJI line of sleep related products, we have created a wrist cushion as a take-away as a reminder of the lessons learnt at the exhibition even when they are working long hours into the night.
