The Workshop at Williamstown Theatre Festival is focused on the education of up-and-coming artists through its Acting Apprentice program, its Non-Equity Company, and its Directing Corps.
The Directing Corps has three branches: the Directing Interns, who work with the Acting Apprentices and put on three nights of short plays over the course of the summer; the Directing Assistants, who work with the Non-Equity Company and each put on two full-length one-act plays over the summer, and the two Fellowship Projects, one a straight play and one a musical, both entirely new works written for a fellowship of Non-Equity Actors and produced at the Festival for the first time.
I had the opportunity to design posters and programs for several of these events, including the Fellowship Musical, Becoming Sylvia, based on the life of Sylvia Plath.
