VISUAL BOOK FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED KIDS
The tactile illustrated storybook for visually impaired children is a foundation year pathway project that comprises research, ideation, problem-solving,explorations, storytelling and handmade production of the book.
PRIMARY RESEARCH
I did a complete study of their DILO (day in the life of), observed and analysed their way of understanding things around them. Also, performed several activities to understand their vision of the visuals around them. Became a friend in no time and understood their thoughts and notions about the world and themselves.
EXPLORATION
My exploration was to figure out the right technique to make them understand a visual composition. I played with the flat surface with material, embossing, holes and hollow surface.
