InUtile is the project of a new modular clotheshorse that allows you to create balanced or ideally infinite structures, through a clamp or floor and suspension accessory.
This project aims to revolutionize the relation between function and aesthetics and the way the conventional clotheshorses are usually perceived. The function and folding of the latter, as well as the optimization of materials and their manufacturing, tend to exclude quite completely the projecting and easthetics.
The InUtile project starts from a different approach, to give to a clotheshorse the value of a proper piece of furntiure, and not just merely functional value that finds its space only during utilising the latter.
The purpose of InUtile is to provide the White Industry company with a product having a strong “break-through” conceptual value,  that would help to express the company´s tendency to experiment, creating thus new atentions towards the brand. InUtile will be used initially to create structures to be installed in showrooms, exposition points and fairs in order to generate curiosity of the visitors. Furthermore, InUtile wants to become a purchased product and to be exposed in gardens and terraces as a provocative element linked to a communication of a status symbol.
The product is constructed by modular parts, those can be assembled by user in order to create liberally interpreted structure, thanks to the possibility to transfer the barycentre of varius parts.
The value of weaving, as a fundamental character of this project as well as the base producting process of White Industry, is interpreted in a non conventional way with a nylon string knotted around its structural parts in manao through “self-strangling” knots. The manufacturing forsees a manual handcrafting by labours specialized ad hoc for manufacturing purposes of White Industry company.
Thus this project wants to illustrate the weaving system and gives the basics, forecasting certain margins of formal liberty so that the handcrafting gains an added value and to create products that are not perfectly the same.
