Main Deliverables: Brochure Appeal, Reply Cards
--
Annually, The Navigators Singapore raise funds for the Kingdom Advancement Fund which supports 3 areas of the company's regulation National Leadership, Operations and Communications. The illustration concept for this project is driven by the bible verse Matthew 9:37-38, where the subject of a harvest field and its workers are used as an analogy to describe the work in God's Kingdom. In The Navigators, there are those who work on the ground to reach communities, and others who work behind-the-scenes, giving support to the former, whether in leadership, administration, or communications.

Following a stepped accordion format, the front of the brochure shows the letter of appeal addressed by the organisation's National Director. The back of the brochure illustrates and gives creative interpretations of how the people of God would work together in the context of a harvest field or farm. Emphasis is given to work that is supported by the fund: to run the organisation smoothly, send staff for training and conferences, gather and manage resources, provide administrative and logistic support and keeping friends and supporters updated on the work and needs of the staff. This main brochure appeal is sent out together with a reply card.

To give an example of one interesting illustration idea: the gathering and managing of resources is done by having water collected in umbrellas, farmers returning empty watering cans to the conveyor belt and picking them up when it is filled from the crook of the umbrella. This picture is adjacent to another picture of how energy is captured through solar panels and re-directed into light up the interior. Rain or shine, we work to generate and store up resources.
