My diary has the themes of blue and doodles. I apply varying shades of blue, my favorite color, to make it vibrant and lively. I also use handwritten fonts and doodle sketches to mimic what I’ve always imagined a diary to look like: a little bit messy, a little bit imperfect. It is a mini book that documents my experiments in different types and techniques of art. But they aren’t anything big, just ways to turn words into visuals, like what’s the best way to divide a page, choose which elements to add, position them in a harmonious way, and maintain the diary’s consistency. In short, this wacky, goofy, blue diary reflects who I am and what I’ve learned about art direction.
