"Book Cover Design"
The brief was to design a book cover for a chosen story - the story I chose was "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens". The story is about how a woman used her own adopted daughter to seduce a man (who was also an orphan brought up by her) in order to break his heart.
It was allowed for us to use either traditional media or digital media to create the design. For my book cover design, I used mixed media (pencil and digital painting and retouching). Since the story is a sad one, I made the overall design look dull and dark to emphasise on the dark story.
