Los mayas más sabios cuentan que los dioses crearon todas las cosas en la tierra, cada animal, cada árbol y a cada piedra le encargaron un trabajo, pero terminando de crear todo, notaron que no había nadie encargado de llevar sus deseos y pensamientos de un lugar a otro, como ya no tenían barro ni maíz para hacer otro animal, tomaron una piedra de jade y con ella tallaron una pequeña flecha, soplaron sobre de ella, ya no era más una flecha, tenía vida, los dioses habían creado al colibrí. The wisest Mayans say that the gods created all things on earth, each animal, each tree and each stone commissioned a job, but finishing creating everything, they noticed that there was no one in charge of carrying their desires and thoughts of a place to another and since they no longer had mud or corn to make another animal, they took a jade stone and with it carved a small arrow, blew on it, it was no longer an arrow, it had life, the gods had created the hummingbird.
