“Re-Fainted” is a piece of re-creating my Chinese ink paintings. It aims to use modern technology to express a new way of traditional painting.
Those landscapes were drawn in my senior high school years using calligraphy brush, Chinese ink, and rice paper. Through the complex process of mixing water and ink, I sought to express the sense of flowing, changing and dancing aroma in nature.
Many years later, I came up with an idea to use abstract triangles to re-paint the landscape. Using the software "DMesh" to re-present the faint effect, it comes to a mosaic and montage production. I like the concept of transforming hand drawings into computer graphics. The lines and triangles also interpret well the beauty of Chinese aerial aesthetic spirit.
