Univers:
For my Typogprahy II class at Drexel, the final assignment was to create a poster that celebrates a typeface. The final composition required one or more weights of the same family. Fonts were randomly given out, and I received Univers.
Research and Initial composition studies of Univers. These were warmups to understand the typeface, which was created during the era of the phototypesetting. I was also inspired by its use in earlier models of the Apple computers and wanted to combine Univer's past with its present use.
The Swiss were all about the "less is more" philosophy. I tried stripping the poster design down to its core through smaller studies.
