The email was first designed in Photoshop. Then the HTML was coded to respond to large and small views. Sublime Text and a Gulp based build system were used to create the HTML. The email was tested using the tools on Litmus.com to ensure the email looked good in many different email clients. Text instead of image based text was used as much as possible so the email was effective if images were turned off.
