Sungei Wang Plaza (JUMPA)

Sungei Wang Plaza (old logo)
CapitaLand and Malaysia Mall Trust acquired Sungei Wang plaza, Malaysia and is in the process of repositioning and revamping the retail asset with a new name, identity and visual language. This is a major revamping project involving 1/3 of the lettable area for the entire Sungei Wang Plaza, with the intention to transform it into a new shopping node of diversified retail, F&B, athleisure, and family entertainments.

The name "JUMPA" was chosen and it means "To gather, to meet, to see and to be seen". The focal point in these directions are 'Creative, Energetic and Magnetic'. A few directions were proposed, the following below are 2 of the proposed directions and a couple of mock ups.
Route 1: Shapes (inspired by Bauhaus design)
