ROALD DAHL DUST COVER
George’s Marvellous Medicine
This project was focused on designing a dust cover for Roald Dahl’s George’s Marvellous Medicine. The aim was to visually communicate both the book’s personality and storyline. To answer this brief I chose to focus on the element of magic and witchery within the book. It is suggested that the Grandmother is a witch of some kind, and that George himself may have magical powers. Although the book takes on a childish tone, there is a darker side to the story and I chose to incorporate this into the final dust cover design.
Type Design
George’s Marvellous Medicine is all about the perfect blend of ingredients. With this in mind I chose to design a display typeface which is structured on the golden ratio.
