Fashion Editorial : The Pop Art Movement, Inspired by the works of David Hockney
The concept behind the editorial is to create Pop Art in the city through the eyes of David Hockney. The photos are vibrant, almost abstract, vivid colors, flat surfaces and creative. While taking his painting as reference, we picked out elements for it to tell our story of an aspiring artist that is following his footstep.
The story line is about a young aspiring artist whose idol is David Hockey, she wants to be inspired by what he saw and look through the eyes of a pop art icon. Inspired by the looks of David Hockney himself and referencing fashion stories that were inspired by him, we gathered inspirations to mimic his looks and persona. His bright color wardrobe was one of the main contributor to the color palette for the editorial as well.
