To represent external perception, we have these two panels I call Processed Windows. They contain the drawings behind it, but there is something happening in between.
In fact, besides the drawings, they are rather far removed from their environment. What created this discrepancy is an abuse of process. I basically put them through hell with a feedback loop of printing photos of photos, projecting text on that, printing it, and photographing through altered plexi glass. This all creates an illusion of depth beyond the 3 quarter inch panel.
Essentially, these windows are an experiment of altered-perception. All of these layers of process become the subject matter. My pieces called Window into Process deconstruct these layers to give a glimpse into how it was all done.
