In Spring 2010, all students enrolled in Typography 2 at the University of Akron were assigned to design a book jacket for an upcoming publication by the University of Akron Press, titled "Buckeye Battleground". I based my design on the troublesome "butterfly ballots" of the 2000 General Election: arrows pointing to misaligned punch holes situated on a bright yellow strip and multiple "hanging chads", which reveal text underneath.
The University of Akron Press selected my design, and the book was published in 2011.
