Where Ibexes Thrive

The "Swiss Grand Canyon" is located in the north of the Lake Neuchâtel and is part of the mountain Le Soliat. The Creux du Van shows off a rocky cirque with a depth of 150m and a diameter of 1,4km. During the nights the persistent noise of the wind is only interrupted by the occasional falling rock or a chirp coming from a nearby Ibex. Around 20 Ibexes are said to be rummaging the hills of the Creux du Van and I think I've encountered them all during my stay.
