An illustration submitted in an art exhibition entitled "Art For Orangutans" jointly held by Center For Orangutans Protection and the Gigi Nyala community at Yogyakarta from Jan.31 to Feb.3 2016. The exhibition aims to create awareness about the need to prosecute crimes against orangutans.
Orangutans play a vital role in seed dispersal and in maintaining the health of forest ecosystem, which is important for people and a host of other animals. Orangutans are on brink of extinction and major causes are forest conversion into plantation and mines, excessive hunting and illegal trade in orangutans. Based this information then I make this illustration.
