Sample illustrated pages of The Stanford Graphic Novel Project 2012. This was a class I took in my senior year, which consisted of two intensive semesters working collaboratively on the graphic novel — From Busan to San Francisco. In this class, students were split into three teams: writers, thumbnailers and artists. I was part of the artists group. The story is based on a SF Chronicle piece, “Diary of a Sex Slave”, highlighting the plight of a trafficking victim from Korea who was tricked into coming to the US.
