Remembrance
Recently, I paid a visit to New York City. Among the places I went was Ground Zero to visit the two pools where the twin towers once stood. I had just gotten a DSLR of my own from a friend and took as many pictures as I could.
Here is my tribute; remembrance.
It was haunting to be there.
People left hand-made flowers in the names of loved ones - or just to show respect.
I never understood what people meant when they said that they would go to places and feel an impact on their soul - positive or negative.
After visiting Ground Zero, I understand now. I found myself stroking the names of people I didn't know in grief.
For the first time in my life, I truly felt something impactful from a place.
