Storyboarding, illustration and management of four animations produced as part of Liverpool's 'Local Offer' app. The app was created to introduce a new law (Local Offer) in which local authorities must talk to children and young people with special educational needs (and their families) about what sort of support they need in their day-to-day life.
The four animations were created to explain what this new law means and what sort of support is available to children and young people in the Liverpool area.
The app was created by companies Splinter Design and Twin Vision, who worked with groups of children and young people in the area to help in the development of the design of the app and animations.
Character Design
We worked with groups of children and young people to design their own characters to feature in the animations and app. These children and young people also narrated the finished animations.
Animation Stills
The main aim of the project was to create designs that would be clear, understandable but also fun! This was to enable as many people with special educational needs as possible to benefit from the app.
