Closeup of wires.
A closeup view of the left eye area showing the nice soft and subtle coloured vector shape transitions. I have created a step by step tutorial of the eye component of this piece for the Affinity Spotlight blog to be uploaded to the blog on the 21st of May if anyone is interested in seeing a bit of behind the scenes on this piece, at least how I did the eye component.
A closeup of the lips. This really shows how employing gaussian blurs gives it a nice soft painterly almost airbrush feel. I also added a nice fine noise texture to the whole piece to unify and lessen the digital look somewhat.
Hello Captain Pinkerton, going somewhere? I was going for a sort of early 20th century seaman look with the uniform styling and walrus moustache.
We can see right through you Captain...
Closeup shows no sharp lines, everything usually will have at least a 1-2 pixel blur.
A look at my layer structure.
