Words we say (or digit) have a weight.
We don’t care about them, leaving space to our ego.
The society has a limited responsibility in this and responsibility falls on every single person.
The manhole, posted at the center of the hall, which contains the words:
“What you say weights”, or, equally, “Weights what you say”, depicts our cities, where do we live (similar to New York iconic manhole).
A middle air floating weight sustained by a big gas balloon, represents the weight of words, that at the end burden on what was able to sustain at the beginning.
The acoustic nature of this hall, is to seriously exacerbate the voice of a speaker placed at its heart.
By acting with the installation, Johnny Hermann “broke” this phenomenon, gradually giving back during the days with a progressive ball collapsing.
Lost his initial volume, the balloon, will not be able to sustain the weight, showing the invisible but concrete action of the words.

Le parole che diciamo (o digitiamo) hanno un peso.
Non ce ne preoccupiamo lasciando spazio al nostro ego.
La società in questo ha una responsabilità limitata (srl) e la responsabilità ricade sul singolo individuo.
Il tombino, posto al centro della sala, su cui sono riportate le parole:
“Ciò che dici pesa”, oppure, altrettanto: “pesa ciò che dici”,
raffigura le nostre città, il luogo in cui viviamo (la somiglianza è attribuibile ai tombini iconici di New York).
Un peso sospeso a mezz'aria e sorretto da un pallone, rappresenta il peso delle parole che alla lunga gravano su quanto in principio era in grado di sostenerle.
La natura acustica di questa sala, è quella di amplificare notevolmente la voce di un oratore posto al suo centro.
Intervenendo con l'istallazione, Johnny Hermann, ha “spezzato” questo fenomeno, restituendolo gradatamente nei giorni con il progressivo sgonfiarsi del pallone.
Perso il suo volume iniziale, non sarà più in grado di sostenere il peso, dimostrando l'azione invisibile ma concreta delle parole.
