This is my dog, Giada. I painted this from a photograph I took in the vet's office. Giada is from the Pitt County Animal Shelter and was rescued when she was 8 weeks old. She appears to be a lab/shepherd mix and has very wolf-like habits. In this picture, she was under a sedative and going unconscious for an x-ray. I totally exploited her sad, pitiful state and this is what came from it. 

Here are three out of four (last one is in progress) comissioned pet portraits. They were painted in acrylics on 20" by 16" canvases, using photos from facebook as references.
