In July 2014 I took a photo of four young girls at the Refviksanden beach, with the intention to paint a picture from it. In the end of February this year I finally started on the project. As I worked, I exported the result of each session to a .png file. As you can see below, it took me 15 painting sessions to finish this picture.

This is sort of a traditional painting, but with digital canvas, brushes and colors. The whole picture is painted in one layer, like one would do with traditional media. However, I admit to have 'cheated' initially, as I traced the outlines of the girls from the photo in my first session.
