FOUR CHICKEN DISHES AROUND THE WORLD
The pictures of the most popular food using chicken as its main ingredients from four different countries

1. Indonesian - Penyetan
Penyetan is taken from the Javanese word Penyet or Press. Ayam Penyet is Indonesian - more precisely East Javanese cuisine consisting of fried chicken that is smashed with the pestle against mortar to make it softer, served with sambal, and lalapan (freshly cut vegetables consist of cucumbers, tomatoes, cabbages, etc)
2. Chinese - Herbal Chicken Soup
For centuries, Chinese herbs have been used in cooking to promote general well-being, boost energy and strength and treat various body ailments. Used correctly, they not only enhance the flavor of a dish but herbs with specific curative properties may help in healing and maintaining good health. Some of the Chinese herbs used in the soup are Dried Chinese Yam, Wolfberries, Soloman’s Seal, Astragalus Root, Codonopsis Root, and Dried Red Dates.
3. Japanese  - Chicken Katsu Curry
Chicken katsu, also known as panko chicken, or tori katsu is a Japanese dish consists of a washed, trimmed, and pounded chicken breast that is sliced into tender-shaped pieces and is dredged in a lightly seasoned flour, then dipped in a lightly seasoned egg mixture, and finally coated with lightly seasoned panko breadcrumbs before being pan-fried, and served with a variety of condiments and accoutrements. It is generally served with tonkatsu sauce, a thick Japanese vegetarian brown sauce that uses pureed fruit as a principal ingredient, or a well-seasoned ketchup in a Hawaiian mixed plate lunch meal. It is generally served with shredded cabbage, rice and/or miso soup as part of a two or three item combo, or as a dinner with rice and vegetables.
Western - Fried Chicken
Fried chicken (also referred to as Southern fried chicken for the variant in the United States) is a dish consisting of chicken pieces usually from broiler chickens which have been floured or battered and then pan-fried, deep fried, or pressure fried. The breading adds a crisp coating or crust to the exterior of the chicken. What separates fried chicken from other fried forms of chicken is that generally the chicken is cut at the joints, and the bones and skin are left intact. Crisp well-seasoned skin, rendered of excess fat, is a hallmark of well made fried chicken.
