First one would be the science fiction, the genre itself is broad, hence I decided in planning to animate play around with the movement of the particle to represent the science and technology behind it and i plan to use the color in black as it the branding color for HBO itself and able to represent the color of tar that can be found especially in cars. And the inspiration for this is literally when I saw the water droplets and the movement of the water when a bottle shakes vigorously.

The second one is retro films, the concept for this one is basically bringing in the classic television that was used in the 80’s and 90’s century and use the sepia themed color scheme and film scratches into the animation with a vignette to show the audience how the retro film will basically look like. The inspiration for this when I saw an old television being thrown away in a dumpster and the classic malay movie by P.Ramlee and since sometimes HBO display some retro films, this generates the interest in choosing this genre and technically not letting it died out as the time and generations passes by.

Horror genre is the most typical genre being broadcasts in almost all television channel and HBO is not an exception. Hence why this genre is chosen. The concept initially is creating an animation on door scratching which typically portrayed in horror films. However, I changed it to a simpler version which is an ink splatter that can compromise with the camera angle that I plan to animate the station idents along with chosen color of black and red as it is the color representing blood and horror since these color combinations can create that dark vibe and horrific aura. The inspiration for this genre is a film called conjuring despite I only watch some of the scenes only and how a paint or in splatter on a wall once thrown onto it.

Follow up with romance genre as the forth animation where this specific genre is involved in most of the films shown in HBO television channel, some even with a mixture of several other genres as well especially drama. Hence the reason why this genre is chosen. The concept that I am going is the typical representation of romance using roses and pink color with a tint of red which is the roses itself as a representation of romance. The inspiration for this is literally the roses and the movement of petal when it drops to the ground. The approach that i plan is where the roses moving from two direction and merge together as one along the way and then end it with the logo appearing in the middle of the way while the roses are scattered away showing the romance and conflict as how the usual story line goes in most films.

Lastly is the fantasy genre, the concept that I am going for this genre is like a wasp flying over the area, but this time is flying around HBO logo while leaving the traces of fairy dust as this is the usual way of representing a fantasy. The inspiration for this one is from Walt Disney logo animation where there is a pixie flies in an arc movement on the castle.
