Skate'R' –Letters on Skateboards
I like watching the »Adobe Live« Streams, especially when they move things. This is my entry for the Photoshop challenge on May 1, 2018 – replay
Experimenting with lettering and combining two things that have nothing in common, but that I happen to like: typography and skateboarding (I like watching, not practicing it myself). The initial drawing was the R (there was just 2 hours of streaming).
Since then it evolved as I realized that this could even be an alphabet doing skateboard tricks. So when I find the time, I'll add some letters to it.
The quick brown fox:
The process usually starts with simple sketches and requires watching instructional skateboard videos. Since I drew the newer letters using Fresco, there are also timelapses:
Initially I did some experiments with additional typographic elements in the design, but I didn't have a really good idea for the loop. This would need some more exploration ...
