Cincinnati State Rebrand
This was an assignment done for my Branding class in college. We were given the task to rebrand Cincinnati State and it had to be designed in a way that it was new, unique and would stand out among other ads. But at the same time, the ads should stay within the rules of the school's brand, which was the real challenge. But resulted in a cohesive collection of billboards (included in project) and other assets (not included in project).
Concept: "Yearbook Style"
- Each picture represents a past graduate or a current student. The photo will be either their elementary/high school photo.
- Each doodle shows what that student studies or whom the aspire to be at through Cincinnati State, showing personality throughout each design.
- This gives a more playful and energetic vibe, this breaks free from the boring and dull professional designs of the past.
Displays Individualism:
- It shows the personality of each student through the doodles and different styles of text.
It’s Different:
- The design has a unique spin. By presenting the student as themselves from the past (rather than using a photograph of them in present day), with the addition of the doodle of who they aspire to become, this design shows both the future and past at the same time.
Simple and Customizable:
- The doodles themselves could stand alone to show any major that’s available at Cincinnati State.
- All you need is a yearbook photo and quick sketch.
