Cory Martinson played rugby and hockey in high school, but most of his favorite physical activities take place outdoors. He was born in Port Hardy, British Columbia, where there are a plethora of opportunities for enjoying nature. The small town sits on Queen Charlotte Strait, a top destination for cold water recreation. The Pacific contains an array of wild marine life and residents often spot whales along the rugged coast. Cory Martinson developed resilience hiking steep trails and scanning for bears and eagles while camping. He credits his childhood with his lifelong love of the wild.
