So I am doing a similar thing to last week for I am taking multiple tutorials for the same effect and comparing them to one another. This week's effect is pop art.
The first tutorial is by Blue Lightening TV Photoshop called Photoshop Tutorial: How to Make a Comic Book, Pop Art, Cartoon from a Photo
This one was pretty easy and very straightforward. I suggest it for people who want a quick and easy effect.
The next tutorial is from School of Photography is called Creating Pop Art Portraits in Photoshop. This is more Andy Warhol inspired than the other.
I added a filter to make it look more rough and more like a piece of art not created on a computer.
I put them together and I honestly like it like this better.
This tutorial was a lot more involved because it required painting each of the sections of clothing in different layers. The painting in different layers did make the color changing a lot easier though. I do like the over all effect and how it turned out.
The last tutorial I followed was called Photoshop CC Tutorial: How to create a textured Pop Art Photo Effect (Easy & Quick!) by Justin Odisho
This last one was the easiest tutorial because it was only like three steps, but I think that it has a really cool effect and it looks like an Andy Warhol piece.
I really enjoyed this tutorials and I think the pop art genre is quite varied and has lots of different possible outcomes. This was a fun week for me because I like these kinds of art and I feel like it is really cool that I know how to make it know.
