Design a book cover for the adult fiction, ‘Animal Farm’ by George Orwell. Read it and decide for yourself how best to showcase the content of this remarkable novel through your cover design and bring it to a new generation of readers.
Design a book cover for the adult fiction, ‘Animal Farm’ by George Orwell. Read it and decide for yourself how best to showcase the content of this remarkable novel through your cover design and bring it to a new generation of readers.
Solution
Footprints of the farm animals have been arranged to illustrate the creature hierarchy. The pigs have been represented with two hooves; reflecting their human-like behaviour. Surrounding and protecting them are the 9 puppies, followed by the remaining animals. Keeping the new generation of readers in mind, I created vector illustrations and used contemporary colours; ensuring it looked modern and clean; and represents the story in a visually captivating manner.
