I love to run. If I could, I would be outside running all day, every day. Unfortunately, my body won't allow that; a fact I learned all too well when I developed a stress fracture in my femur and tore the cartilage in my hip as an otherwise healthy 20 year-old. This injury had me on crutches for over 2 months, over which period I learned just how bad the standard crutch is.
So when given the opportunity to have a year to take on a design challenge of my choosing, I knew exactly what I wanted to take on.
